Well, exactly one year after I took leap of the bridge of reality,quit my job and jumped on the plane for 6 months roughing it in Africa and South America, I am now at the airport again, however on a shorter trip and a definite return to reality.
I'm currently wondering around Changi airport, waiting not so paitently for the boarding of my next flight to Phuket. It is 6 am and already 29 degress and I am wondering just how hot it is going to get on the beach. Then I laugh to myself and realise that this is not really a major problem is it? Its better than worrying about what time I might be able to get away from my desk and go to lunch.
A really nice man just spotted me $4 to buy some lip balm cause I had only change and they only take notes here. What a nice thing to do, I was very impressed that at least some people still have the ability to do nice things.
Anyway, I am bored of strolling now, so am about to go and do the scummy backpacker thing and lie on the floor near my gate and chill out. I have a weird cramp in my neck from the flight here,even though I had three seats to myself and could lie down, I think that sleeping an barbed concrete might have been less painful on my body.
