Of Polish Soup and Black Ice

Argh, Krakow, Poland. I thought that I would take a break from London and get some more cold in lovely Krakow and cold I am getting. I looked on the internet before arriving and it said that the average tempreature was beternm minus 5 and zero and that there was an average of 2 hours sunlight per fday. Well the tempreature might be right, but the sdunlight thing was a total lie. There is about the same amount as London, which to be fair isn't a lot but it is certainly better then 2 hours.

I have been filling up on yummy Polish soups and wandering the old town that escaped destruction in the second world war. What i haven't managed to escape is the fricken black ice that is everywhere in this place. For those of you who don't know, Black Ice deceivingly looks like a puddle of water on the path, but is actually a dangerous and deathly ice trap which i have slipped on many times so far in the past few days, even though I am savvy to this clever and evil trick of nature. I guess sometimes you just never learn.

Anyway, back to the UK tomorrow. I have been actually using this break to catch up on some sleep which I have been doing by indulging in some afternoon naps, partially to catch up and partially to warm up after being outside. Auschwitz was an eye opener today and might do the Salt Mines tomorrow if I can be bothered to get out of bed early enough, so that chances of that happening are probably quite low.. Ha ha, I love being lazy in the cold.
