In my reasonably well travelled opinion, Plastic Bags should be on the banned list in Hostels world wide! I know that I can hear some of you sighing in agreement at the pain these simple things can cause. There I was in the middle of Cape Town enjoying the silence and comfort of an entire dorm room to myself. Reading, relaxing and just falling asleep when 3 new people come crashing in, making all the noise in the world and then in the morning when they were kindly leaving at 6am when I was trying to have a sleep in, I swear that they repacked their entire backpacks with plastic bags and I almost screamed in frustration. Thankfully they have gone and been replaced by a shy German Guy that I woke up drunk in the middle of the night trying to make him come out for drinks with me. Crazy....
Yesterday I went shark diving and it was great. The cage was a little daunting, but fun and one of the sharks at the end of the day swam right past the cage and smashed it's tail into the side and then swam under the cage and bucked up against it. It was fucking crazy and I am glad that I stayed in the water as it was a chilly 18 degrees and my feet were starting to get frost bite... But it was well worth the wait just to see and experience a 3 metre great white shark 35cm away from my face.......
This morning, with a stinking hangover, I climbed Table Mountain as the weather has finally cleared a little. Hard walk, took about 2 hours and I thought that my legs were going to fall off, but it was also worth it as the view was amazing of the Cape and it was kinda surreal watching the clouds come up and over the mountain. We were lucky as just as we were coming down (in the cable car mind you) the clouds staring really rolling over and I think that they were going to shut the mountain as it can be rather dangerous. Anyway, glad it is done, I then went and lounged by the pool to work on the tan that I now possess and am about to lose the moment I walk into Heathrow Airport. Nevertheless, it is important to be brown while I can.....

9 Weeks, 9 Countries...
After 63 days I think that not only my liver wants a divorce, but that I need to sleep for about 4 weeks to get over the pain and adrenalin of the past 63 days.
We thought that there was no way in this world that we could back up on the last night in Swakopmund, but we did and we had a blinder, I think that I crawled home at 5:30am and was knackered. We then a few nothing to report days going through the Sand dunes of Namibia, looking out over Fish River canyon and then staying at Orange River before crossing over into South Africa and hitting Stellenbosch and the Vineyards with a renewed energy that has completely wiped me out. I am tired and looking forward to the next week in Cape Town lying on the beach and chilling out.
The highlights have been the Gorillas, hot air ballooning over the Mara, diving in Zanzibar, Rafting the Zambezi in Vic Falls, Skydiving and Sandboarding in Swakopmund, the wine tour and so much more I can't possibly go on about it. Suffice to say I have loved Africa and can't wait to come back, or perhaps even stay.....
