Oh God I have gone crazy!

The Delta was amazing, cruising along this river in a Mokoro with the reeds and the water lilies rushing past, it was the most sublime experience. If i believed in Heaven - that would have been it. Nic and I pondered the meaning of life and other universal questions - the Mokoro is the place to work it out. The Delta was full of great animals and sleeping in the heat and half of the tour getting charged by a Hippo in the river - Nic and I were too busy trying to pole our mokoro straight - very hard indeed!

After the Delta, we went into Namibia and spent 2 days in Etosha National Park, which was amazing. So many Elephants and Zebra, but still have not seen the elusive leopard GOD DAMN IT!!!!! Nevermind, we are now in Swakopmund and things have gone a bit mental. After leaving a cheetah park, where the owners were the hottest men alive (i mean the have pet cheetahs for god sake and wear tiny shorts with work boots - drool x) we got drunk on the truck at 10:30am to make the long drive day manageable and it was messy, but so much fun. In my drunken state, we got to Swakopmund and I signed myself up for skydiving. Yes you heard it right!

So in the morning, with a hangover, I questioned this decision, but wasn't sure that I really wanted to back out. Went sandboarding in the morning, which was cool fun and then a plane landed for us in the middle of the desert. We thought that we were getting a free ride to the skydiving venue, when we were sharply informed that the guys were coming to the plane and we were going to be the first to jump./ I think that I almost throw up at that point and then when the guys arrived and were gearing us up, I thought that I was going to cry. Nic and I sat in the little tiny plane as it climbed and I wondered what the fuck I was doing. But then, as we reached 10,000 feet and I was moving into position, I felt nothing. Then the guy pushed me out of the plane and I was flying. I went first out of all of us and I think that I was still flying when I hit the ground. Never thought that I would do it and it was bloody amazing, words can not describe it. Africa is changing me...... Either that or the heat has made me loco. Will show you the DVD when I get home, I still kinda feel like it didn't happen, but will go again if anyone is keen. Its the most amazing high and the most fun I have had with my clothes on ; )

One more big night and then we leave and go bush again before crossing into South Africa. 8 weeks down and only one more to go. MWAH x x x x
